"We value Christ Centeredness!"
Since Jesus is both Lord and Christ (Acts 2:36), we should receive Him as such and live lives that are centered around Him. Lordship or Christ-centeredness is about who He is and what He did for us, not who we are and what we do for Him. We believe that "in everything He must have the supremacy" (Col 2:18), not just in church matters, but in all of life - not just on Sundays, but 24/7.
"We value the Spirit of Grace and Truth!"
Jesus came to both reveal God and provide us a pattern for life and purpose. The One True Living God and the message of the prophets became a man - "The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes... like Father, like Son" (Msg. Jn 1:1, 14, 18). Full of grace and truth! The Christian life is a spiritual life and we are all utterly dependent on the presence and work of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:1-17, Jn 5:19, Zech. 4:6-7). the Spirit is our advocate and advantage; sent to grow us in grace, guide us in truth, and glorify Jesus Christ (Jn 16:7-14). The "Spirit of the Sovereign Lord" is the Spirit of Christ, Grace, and Truth! As Christians, "Lordship" means we live by the Spirit, in grace and truth. As the reformers cried, "Sola Christo, Soli Deo Gloria, Sola Fida, Sola Gratia, Sola Scriptura!"
"We value whole-heartedness"
Because of Jesus love and Lordship (cross & crown), He is "King of kings and Lord of lords." We believe that whole-hearted surrender to God's word and will is vital to the Christian life and spiritual growth (Mt. 22:37, Jn 5:30, Mt. 6:10, 1 Sam. 15:22, 16:7, 2 Cor. 5:14-15, Rom. 1:5, 1 Pet 1:2).
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live in Him.
"We value Reconciliation!"
We are Christians because "God reconciled us to himself through Christ." But, He did not stop there. He then called each of us to the ministry of reconciliation" and gave us a message of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). Since reconciliation is first and foremost a relational word (rather than a theological word) then people, especially "lost" people, matter to God. Therefore, to value reconciliation is to value relationships with people, especially people who do not know God. This is the heart of what Christians mean by evangelism.
"We value a radical commitment and call to youth and missions!"
Our commitment to Church planting, world missions, youth and campus ministry is all a part of fulfilling the Great Commission. We believe these are our stewardship and strategy for expressing our love for God and passion for the peoples of the world. We make a big deal out of reaching youth because they are: the most open to the Gospel, the vast majority of the global population, the world's future leaders, and many of our churches began with them!
"We value the House of Prayer!"
Father God's family/house is a people/place of prayer for the nations/lost (Mk. 11:17). The most essential things for winning the lost and impacting the world are the presence of God and the prayers of the saints (Jn. 6:44, 16:8, Lk. 11:2,1 Tim. 2:1-9, Ps. 2:8, Is. 60:1-5). Miracles happen, lives change, all things are possible when God's people pray and the annointing of the Holy Spirit is with us.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one
and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish
but have eternal life.
"We value Spiritual and Relational Growth!"
If a disciple is one who follows Jesus, then discipleship is helping someone follow Jesus (Matthew 4:19). We believe that all Christians are called to be disciples or followers of Jesus and all Christians are called to make disciples – that is, to help others follow Jesus. Following Jesus, growing spiritually, and strengthening anothers' faith is what discipleship is all about. Because of this, our primary focus is on ministering to people, not conducting meetings, administrating programs or building buildings.
"We value personal devotions and Biblical foundations!"
As Christians, we have a personal relationship with God and are a people of the book - the Bible. We are "God chasers!" We are committed to the pursuit of God (daily spending time with God and studying His word to know His purposes for our lives and generation). Knowing God, understanding the scriptures, and establishing strong foundations of faith are vital for success in life.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything
I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age.
"We value Servant Leadership!"
When the disciples were lobbying for positions of importance, Jesus told them that leaders must be servants. He then told them that they were thinking carnally - like pagan Gentiles when they equated leadership with controlling authority or positional privilidges (Mark 10:42-44). Jesus went on to explain that He "did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom/payment for many" (Mark 10:45). Genuine leaders should follow His example of serving, modeling, and sacrificing for others.
"We value every member ministering!"
Because we are called to raise up spiritual leaders, we prioritize leadership training and ministry service. We also deliberately create opportunities for you to serve and lead with your gifts and talents. No plan to reach the world for Christ will be effective without mobilizing every member of God's body. The business and professional world, the campuses and schools, as well as moms and dads, young people of all ages; God needs us all. In other words, we can't reach the world with just full-time ministers. Every true believer is an ambassador for Christ and His kingdom.
And the things you have heard me say in the presence of
many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be
qualified to teach others.
2 Timothy 2:2, 2 Corinthians 5:20, Ephesians 4:12
"We value FAMILY LIFE!"
We are committed to and prioritize healthy and lasting relationships. It's that simple and there is no better way to say it. Marriage is top priority. Parenting matters. Honoring one’s father and mother is central to honoring God and receiving blessings. We believe in generational building, purpose, transfer, and blessing. Therefore, we are devoted to intentional and consistent investment for health and maturity in family life. Growing and learning to love, forgive, be gracious, honest, and trustworthy is necessary for fulfilling lasting relationships.
"We value Christian friends and spiritual family!"
Because the family is the foundation and validation for ministry we refuse to sacrifice our marriages and our children on the altars of temporal success. Also, because we believe God has called us to be a spiritual family, committed Christian friendships are important. We reject the idea of disposable relationships and choose to walk in love, respect, and unity.
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen
stand guard in vain. Sons are a heritage from
the LORD, children a reward from Him.
Psalm 127:1,3, Psalm 68:6, 1, 1 Corinthians 12:18
